Feeding Therapy
In feeding therapy we help troubled or picky eaters expand the variety of their food intake in a stress-free, positive, and child-centered environment. Your child should have at least 10 proteins, 10 fruits and vegetables, 10 starches (aka carbs), and drinks in their ration. Our therapy runs in 12-week sessions, however, the completion of the cycle is not necessarily an indication of graduation from the program, depending on the severity of the case and your child’s readiness and motivation. Currently, we offer feeding therapy in the individual setting.
The SOS Approach to Feeding is a Sequential Oral Sensory method designed to assist children with Pediatric Feeding Disorder (PFD), Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), or selective eating habits in overcoming their feeding challenges and achieving a sense of normalcy in their lives. For parents, this approach alleviates the daily stress associated with feeding their children, reducing concerns about malnutrition and the potential need for tube feeding.
The Beckman Oral Motor Protocol aims to enhance functional responses related to pressure sensitivity, movement range, strength, variety, and control of oral structures.
